Role Purpose

Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental management throughout the planning and execution of the GIGA project. Promote a culture of safety, drive regulatory compliance, and establish HSE as central to project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

• Lead the development and implementation of HSE strategies tailored to the unique requirements of the project.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.

Compliance & Regulation

• Ensure all project activities comply with local, national, and international HSE regulations and standards.
• Partner with external regulatory bodies and industry organizations to promote best practices in HSE management.

Risk Management & Inspection

• Conduct risk assessments, regularly inspect project sites, and initiate corrective actions to mitigate identified hazards.
• Lead investigations into incidents, providing insights and recommendations to prevent recurrence.

Training & Awareness

• Facilitate training and awareness programs for all team members to ensure understanding and adherence to HSE policies.

Performance & Improvement

• Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 18 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management.
• Significant exposure to large-scale projects, preferably in Giga/Mega Projects or similar environments.
• Thorough understanding of HSE regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing HSE strategies and programs in complex project settings.
• Professional certifications related to HSE management, such as NEBOSH or equivalent, are highly desirable.
