Role Purpose

To oversee all housekeeping operations across public, guest-facing, and back-of-house areas, ensuring exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards while leading, developing, and motivating the housekeeping team to deliver outstanding guest experiences and support departmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Standards

• Ensure all public, guest-facing, and back-of-house areas of the hotel are properly cleaned at all times.
• Ensure health and safety requirements are adhered to.
• Ensure all staff are aware of and follow departmental SOPs and LSOPs.
• Ensure proper key controls are in place.
• Initiate measures to minimize wastage of materials and amenities used in the department.

Inventory & Asset Management

• Ensure records are maintained for linen inventory, uniforms, and other items as applicable.
• Ensure that lost and found articles are stored properly and that correct logs are maintained.
• Ensure par levels of linen, towels, and uniforms are current and in line with inventory.

Team Leadership & Development

• Coach and guide new members of the team, putting in place proper orientation training and ongoing training and development.
• Train staff to become multi-skilled in all facets of housekeeping.
• Develop and maintain a motivational working environment within the department and positive relations with other departments.
• Control overtime through good management and immediate response to problems.

Guest Experience & Special Requests

• Ensure VIP requirements are met.
• Ensure all special requests are met, with particular reference to families visiting the resort with children.

Partnerships & Special Projects

• Assist in managing relationships with suppliers.
• Attend and support Task Force Missions required to support the opening of new Anantara and other Minor International properties, and other special events catered by Minor International.
