Role Overview
Housekeeping Runner at Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, a Hilton property.
Role Purpose
To ensure linen availability, maintain inventory control, and support housekeeping operations across all floors while upholding cleanliness, hygiene, and health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Linen Management
- Ensure linen is available for all floors as requested.
- Oversee the issuing of linen via a requisition system.
- Maintain par stocks at required levels.
- Assist supervisors with the counting of linen during inventory.
Quality & Standards
- Ensure quality controls are in place for all linen processes, rejecting any exceptions.
- Ensure team members adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations.
- Ensure soiled linen and garbage are removed promptly from the lift landing area to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and a presentable environment at all times.
Operations & Inventory
- Maintain cleanliness of the housekeeping pantry and store.
- Carry out stock takes as requested.
- Take receipt of stock and ensure safe storage.
- Communicate with co-workers regarding shortages and special requests.
Guest & Service Management
- Manage customer service issues quickly and effectively.
- Manage guest requests and traces promptly and effectively.
General Duties
- Carry out any other reasonable task set by the hotel's management.
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal format.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work.
