Role Purpose

Lead the housekeeping operation to create the Mama Shelter vibe by building a welcoming, positive environment for both guests and staff, while delivering consistently exceptional service, maintaining brand standards, and ensuring every space is clean, safe, and guest-ready.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Inspire, coach, train, and develop the housekeeping team, helping everyone grow while delivering consistently exceptional service.
• Lead ongoing training initiatives that build skills, boost confidence, and keep service standards at their very best.
• Support the General Manager with departmental goals, budgeting, and continuous improvements that help Mama Shelter shine.
• Lead with passion, positivity, and enthusiasm, creating a workplace where the team loves to work and guests love to stay.

Operations & Scheduling

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations from scheduling and staffing to room inspections and inventory management.
• Develop, implement, and maintain housekeeping procedures that keep every room and corner of Mama Shelter sparkling and on brand.
• Regularly inspect guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas, ensuring every space is clean, safe, and guest-ready.
• Jump in wherever needed and take on new challenges that help maintain operations.

Maintenance & Partnerships

• Partner closely with the Engineering team to quickly resolve maintenance issues and keep the hotel looking its absolute best.

Laundry & Inventory Management

• Ensure linens and uniforms are always fresh, spotless, and ready through efficient laundry operations.
• Stay on top of supplies, equipment, and departmental expenses while managing the budget wisely.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Champion health, safety, and hygiene standards, ensuring every process meets local regulations and Mama Shelter's expectations.

Guest Experience & Feedback

• Collaborate with every department to create smooth operations and unforgettable guest experiences, handling requests with care and speed.
• Keep an eye on guest feedback, celebrate successes, and transform opportunities into even better experiences.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 5 years of Housekeeping Management experience in hospitality.
• Proven ability to lead a successful operation.
