Host / Hostess (Russian Speaker) at Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina, operated by IHG Hotels and Resorts, located in Dubai Marina, Dubai. This is a full-time position.

Role Purpose

As Host / Hostess, you will present a positive first impression and deliver excellent service to guests. You will greet arriving and departing guests, manage the flow of diners into dining and bar areas, and coordinate handoffs to service staff to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Greeting & Seating

• Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with genuine smile and eye contact.
• Escort guests to assigned dining area and present menus.
• Announce waiter's name to guests.
• Use visual cues to seat guests in either bar or dining area based on their preference.
• Show guests to their table and bid them farewell as they leave.

Service Coordination

• Inform guests of current promotions and identify who will be serving them to ensure smooth handoff to service staff.
• Manage the flow of guests into dining and bar areas.
• Provide accurate wait times to incoming guests when appropriate.
• Monitor waiting list and enter guest names into computer system.

Guest Experience & Observation

• Carry natural conversation with guests without sounding scripted or intrusive.
• Attend to special guest needs and requests.
• Remain observant throughout the dining experience to ensure high quality service (for example, notice when a drink refill is needed while seating another guest and ensure the refill occurs before returning to the host stand).

Operations & Compliance

• Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.
• Protect the establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol control policies.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar host / hostess role in a four or five-star hotel or comparable industry.
• Ability to demonstrate working with and engaging teams from different cultures.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Quality oriented with focus on details.
• High performance standards.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Technical proficiency in related software preferable.
• Russian language fluency required.
