Helper

Role Overview

Helper at AL GHURAIR. This is a facilities maintenance support role responsible for assisting technicians and supervisors in preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities across HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Civil, Fire & Life Safety, and other building services.

Role Purpose

Support maintenance operations by assisting technicians, handling materials and equipment, maintaining work areas, and ensuring safe execution of maintenance activities within facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Support

• Assist technicians during maintenance and repair activities.
• Help in basic maintenance activities under supervision.
• Support preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance operations.

Materials & Equipment Handling

• Carry tools, materials, equipment, and spare parts to work locations.
• Assist in loading, unloading, and movement of materials.

Housekeeping & Work Area Preparation

• Support cleaning, housekeeping, and preparation of work areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of plant rooms, workshops, and service areas.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow safety procedures and use PPE at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or related field.

Skills & Competencies

• Physically fit and capable of manual handling activities.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety requirements.
