HEAVY VEHICLE DRIVER

Role Overview

Heavy Vehicle Driver at NMDC Group. This role involves operating company heavy vehicles and supporting geotechnical and marine project delivery through safe, compliant transportation and equipment management.

Role Purpose

Maintain safe, high-quality heavy vehicle operations in support of CPT probing, dredging, reclamation and civil marine projects. Drive company vehicles within budget and deadline constraints while upholding environmental, safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Project Delivery

• Perform land-based and nearshore CPT probing operations.
• Acquire CPT data during test execution.
• Drive company heavy vehicles for transportation purposes.
• Execute activities related to dredging, reclamation and civil marine projects within deadline and budget.
• Interact between CPT and drilling operations.

Safety & Compliance

• Maintain adherence to company Policies, Operational Procedures, Occupational Health Safety and Environmental & Quality Standards.
• Work in compliance with HSE regulations.
• Use any equipment, protective devices or clothing required by the employer.
• Report any known missing or defective equipment or protective device that may be dangerous to the employer or supervisor.
• Report any known workplace hazard or violation of the Act to the employer or supervisor.
• Not remove or make ineffective any protective device required by the employer or by the regulations.
• Ensure concerns over the quality of CPT operations and relevant operational matters are effectively communicated to senior personnel.
• Conduct thorough investigation and documentation of all incidents and accidents on site per Drilling's procedure.

Leadership & Training

• Provide leadership and promote teamwork amongst crewmembers.
• Provide training and guidance on company standards, procedures and CPT techniques to crewmembers.
• Ensure that field crews are suitably trained and equipped to perform required tasks through regular training on technical and procedural matters.

Maintenance & Asset Management

• Manage and perform thorough maintenance of assets on site, including CPT plant, support vehicles, miscellaneous tools and parts.

Stakeholder Liaison & Communication

• Liaise with geologists, engineers, consultants and all other stakeholders involved in geotechnical investigation and projects.

Reporting & Documentation

• Comply with company reporting requirements, ensuring details are accurate, activities properly documented and all chargeable items and activities are clearly documented.
• Apply knowledge of suitable CPT investigative techniques to ensure successful deliverables as stated on project scope of work.
• Ensure high quality, safety and environmental standards are maintained.
