Heart of House Specialist

Role Overview

Heart of House Specialist at Marriott in a hotel setting. This role supports vital hotel functions across multiple departments including kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry.

Role Purpose

Provide essential cleaning and support services across hotel departments to ensure guest-facing areas and operational spaces meet quality standards. Maintain fresh linens, spotless dishware, and clean facilities through equipment operation and material transport.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning & Preparation

• Prepare fresh clean linen and spotless dining ware for guest use.
• Transport dishware and linens across the hotel as needed.

Equipment & Facilities Operations

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including dish washing machines, hand wash stations, linen washers, and dryers.

Safety & Standards Compliance

• Create and maintain a safe workplace.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Uphold quality standards and ensure adherence to quality expectations.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
• Maintain professional uniform, personal appearance, and communications.

Team Collaboration

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other employees and departments.
• Support the team to reach common goals.
• Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

Physical Tasks

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 50 pounds or less without assistance.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• Related Work Experience: No related work experience required.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
• License or Certification: None required.
