Role Purpose

Build and grow a team of analytics professionals while establishing a strong analytics data-driven culture with competencies in experimentation, dashboarding, and insights. Drive data-driven initiatives that deliver outstanding business outcomes through the integrity, accuracy, and security of healthcare data.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management and Analysis

• Oversee the collection, storage, and analysis of healthcare data.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, data engineers, and data scientists.
• Provide training and support to team members on data analytics tools and methodologies.

Strategic Planning

• Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement data-driven strategies.
• Identify opportunities for using data analytics to improve clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.

Reporting and Visualization

• Create comprehensive reports and dashboards for various stakeholders.
• Communicate findings and insights effectively to non-technical audiences.

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with IT, clinical, and operational teams to understand data needs and provide solutions.
• Foster a data-driven culture within the organization.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in healthcare analytics.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data analytics capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics, with at least 3 years in a healthcare setting.
• Proven experience in managing and leading a team.
• Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a relevant field is preferred.
• Certifications in healthcare data analytics or related areas are preferred.
• Experience with machine learning and predictive analytics is preferred.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in data analytics tools including SAS, SQL, R, Python, Tableau, and other relevant software.
• Strong understanding of healthcare data, including EMR/EHR systems, claims data, and clinical databases.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards, such as HIPAA.
• Experience leveraging multiple current technologies with ability to expand knowledge on emerging technologies.
