Role Overview
Health, Safety, and Environment Officer at Hilton. This role supports hotel operations across designated properties, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of guests, team members, and visitors through comprehensive health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Role Purpose
Lead health, safety, and environment compliance across designated hotels. Oversee safety programs, conduct audits, investigate incidents, manage risks, deliver training, and support environmental initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Compliance and Oversight
- Lead hotel safety compliance by overseeing health, food, fire, and environmental safety programs across designated hotels.
- Ensure a safe experience for guests, team members, and visitors.
Risk Management
- Apply company safety policies and proactively manage risks related to public health, accessibility, security, housing, and trading standards.
Audits and Compliance Verification
- Conduct regular safety and hygiene audits, fire tours, and system tests.
- Document audit results and ensure follow-up to maintain full regulatory compliance.
Incident Investigation and Corrective Action
- Lead investigations into food poisoning, accidents, and guest complaints.
- Analyze incident data and implement corrective actions to reduce civil claims and improve safety outcomes.
Contractor Management
- Partner with Facilities to monitor contractor activity and enforce safety standards throughout hotel operations.
Training and Coaching
- Facilitate food hygiene, fire safety, and other compliance training programs.
- Provide coaching and formal instruction to managers and team members.
Environmental Stewardship
- Collaborate with environmental champions and hotel leadership to promote sustainability.
- Ensure alignment with environmental policies.
