Role Overview
Head of Procurement at DP World. This position leads the end-to-end procurement function for WeOne, ensuring delivery of a unified, efficient, and transparent procurement framework across all shared service functions.

Role Purpose
The Head of Procurement leads strategy development, category management, supplier relationship optimization, and compliance governance to deliver measurable cost savings and value creation. The role ensures alignment with WeOne's transformation objectives and DP World's global standards, while overseeing Central Stores operations to optimize inventory management, material availability, and warehouse processes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement WeOne's procurement strategy aligned with DP World governance and transformation priorities.
- Lead category management across major spend areas to drive savings, improve service levels, and optimize total cost of ownership.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, consolidate demand, and implement strategic sourcing plans.
- Identify and deliver annual cost savings, process efficiencies, and value-added initiatives across the procurement lifecycle.
Procurement Operations
- Oversee procurement operations, ensuring timely sourcing, purchase order execution, and contract adherence across all units supported by WeOne.
- Lead contract negotiations ensuring optimal terms, risk mitigation, and commercial advantage for DP World.
- Develop and maintain procurement policies, SOPs, and best practices to support continuous improvement.
Supplier Management
- Implement supplier management frameworks, including performance metrics, SLAs, and ongoing vendor audits.
Governance & Compliance
- Drive procurement governance, ensuring full compliance with DP World policies, ESG requirements, audit controls, and ethical standards.
- Represent WeOne Procurement in internal committees, audits, compliance reviews, and strategic planning forums.
Digital Transformation
- Lead procurement digitalization initiatives, including e-sourcing, automated workflows, analytics dashboards, and process standardization.
Central Stores Operations
- Oversee Central Stores operations including stock planning, replenishment, warehouse layout, and materials dispatch.
- Ensure accurate inventory management through cycle counts, stock audits, and system accuracy controls.
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehousing, storage, receiving, issuing, and safety compliance.
- Optimize stores processes to reduce carrying costs, improve service levels, and ensure material readiness for supported business units.
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide leadership and coaching to the procurement team, fostering capability development, accountability, and performance culture.
