Role Overview
Head of Finance for KONE Gulf Region (Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman). The role is based preferably in Qatar and reports directly to the Finance Director for KONE Middle East, Turkiye & Africa region and in matrix to the Managing Director of KONE Gulf.

Role Purpose
The Head of Finance drives and supports the achievement of KONE's business objectives by providing strategic direction and support to business stakeholders in financial and commercial matters. The role is accountable for complete and accurate financial information for management and statutory purposes, drives forecasting and budgeting processes, ensures relevant policies and controls are implemented, and leads a team of financial professionals in the Gulf Region as the point of contact for treasury, tax, and other finance matters for the countries.
Key Responsibilities
Leading and Developing People
- Lead, direct, and develop a team of finance professionals in the unit to achieve established goals, especially in terms of effective business partnering.
- Coach and engage the team for future requirements.
- Collaborate and communicate with other finance units, teams, and internal or external partners providing services to the unit or units.
Effective Business Partnering
- Drive business performance and decision-making by providing strategic guidance, actionable insights, and recommendations to business stakeholders.
- Develop and support KONE strategy implementation, specifically in customer-facing finance activities such as invoice collection.
- Contribute to strategic planning at the management team level, helping to drive top-line growth and operational efficiency.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement by collaborating with different functions.
- Support business stakeholders to focus and prioritize activities that drive customer value and business performance most.
Efficient Financial Transactions
- Oversee end-to-end finance processes' performance in the Gulf Region with complete and accurate financial records.
- Ensure accountability for compliance with local statutory requirements and regulations in areas of financial reporting, treasury, and tax.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
- Manage financials in the unit or units efficiently and compliantly, specifically in areas of cash flow and accounts receivable.
- Drive the forecasting and budgeting processes in the unit or units.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or master's in finance.
- Minimum 5 years in a Finance Manager or similar position.
- Experience in multinational companies.
- Experience in matrix organizations.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent understanding of ERP and reporting tools, preferably SAP.
- Strong English communication skills; ability to communicate complex data and to write and speak clearly when interacting with various stakeholders.
- Attention to detail; ability to spot errors and ensure accurate results.
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, diligent, organized self-starter with orientation towards high level of customer service and performance improvement.
