Role Purpose
Lead the bar operations and bartending team to deliver exceptional beverage service that meets hotel standards, while maintaining inventory control, staff development, and consistent quality across all drinks served.
Key Responsibilities
Training and Staff Development
- Conduct weekly training sessions on beverage pouring practice, cocktail mixing, bottle flaring, and upselling techniques
- Supervise and train bartending staff
- Promote a positive and professional work environment
Menu and Inventory Management
- Create and update cocktail menus
- Manage bar inventory and place orders as needed
- Monitor and control beverage costs
Operations and Standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Ensure consistent quality of all drinks served
- Perform all necessary tasks to service beverages according to hotel standards
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Guest and Stakeholder Management
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve complaints
- Handle guest complaints directly or refer them to the Bar Manager
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven work experience as Head Bartender
- Previous experience in a large hotel with at least 500 keys in a luxury property is required
- Pre-opening experience is an advantage
