Role Purpose

Assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the GROW department to provide exceptional products and services within Six Senses brand operating standards and budget. Safeguard the pillars of Sustainability, Wellness and Out of the Ordinary experiences and ensure all directives, practices and initiatives are implemented, embraced and adopted within the resort.

Key Responsibilities

Department Strategy and Innovation

• Keep abreast of industry trends and practices and update knowledge and skills to improve the product and service offering.
• Focus on the rejuvenation of the GROW department.
• Assess and review products and services regularly to remain relevant, innovative and in keeping with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.

Operations and Standards

• Lead a team of engaged and experienced hosts to provide Six Senses exceptional standards of service.
• Focus and review regularly through physical presence in the department the resort's rigorous adherence to LQA standards.
• Inspect the GROW department on a regular basis and ensure any maintenance and product improvements are actioned within the designated time frame.
• Maintain knowledge of all emergency evacuation drills according to resort policies and specifics to the department.

Guest Service and Recovery

• Effectively carry out service recovery or charge hosts to do so in the event of guest complaints.

Financial Management

• Ensure that forecasting is undertaken on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis to ensure budgets are met and exceeded.
• Minimize payroll costs by maximizing productivity and efficient scheduling of hosts.

Reporting and Administration

• Prepare and submit legally required and confidential documentation related to the operation.
• Complete accurately all corporate reporting requirements for the role.
• Attend or conduct the designated meetings and briefings as instructed by your Manager.

General

• Perform any additional duties given by your Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum hospitality diploma or degree from a recognized Early Childhood school with kindergarten or school teaching background.
• More than two years' experience in a similar hotel operational role in luxury hotels with proven results.

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced MS Office proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Familiarity with various hotel systems including POS and OPERA platforms.
• Knowledge of property and policies.
