Role Overview

Graduate Engineering Training Program – Kuwait Fund Collaboration-3 with GE Vernova. A structured nine-month engineering internship program based in regional facilities and Kuwait, designed for recent engineering graduates entering the power and energy industry.

Company Overview

GE Vernova operates regional engineering facilities and the GEV KTC training center in Kuwait, collaborating with the Kuwait Fund to develop emerging engineering talent in power generation and energy systems.

Role Purpose

Provide recent engineering graduates with practical exposure to power generation technologies, operational practices, and engineering methodologies through a combination of hands-on experience, technical training, and mentorship alongside experienced engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Program Participation and Assignments

• Participate in a structured six-month internship at one of GE Vernova's regional facilities, followed by a three-month assignment at GEV KTC in Kuwait.
• Actively participate in the learning program, seek feedback, and demonstrate continuous development throughout the nine-month training period.

Technical Support and Engineering Work

• Support engineering teams in technical activities and projects related to power generation, mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, processes, and relevant engineering disciplines.
• Apply engineering fundamentals and academic knowledge to practical assignments and real-world applications.
• Support assigned projects focused on engineering systems, tooling, processes, data analysis, or operational improvement.

Learning and Development

• Gain practical exposure to GE Vernova technologies, engineering processes, and industry practices.
• Participate in technical training, workshops, site activities, and practical learning assignments as applicable.
• Demonstrate commitment to learning new technologies, software tools, and engineering disciplines.

Collaboration and Problem-Solving

• Work closely with engineers and other cross-functional teams to understand engineering challenges and contribute to problem-solving activities.

Reporting and Communication

• Present findings, progress, and recommendations throughout the program and as part of the final program evaluation.

Health, Safety and Compliance

• Demonstrate commitment to GE Vernova's Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements and maintain safe working practices throughout all assignments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Strong interest in the power and energy industry and willingness to develop technical knowledge in power generation technologies and engineering systems.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
• Willingness to learn and apply GE Vernova EHS, quality, and engineering practices.
• Proactive, curious, and enthusiastic attitude toward engineering challenges and continuous learning.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across different functions and cultures.
• Awareness of data acquisition, instrumentation, sensors, or engineering testing concepts.
• Interest in digital technologies, AI tools, and their application within engineering.

• Ability and willingness to participate in the full nine-month program, including six months in one of GE Vernova's regional facilities and three months in Kuwait.
