The iconic Falcon Clubhouse, built in the shape of a falcon with wings outstretched, overlooks the 9th and 18th greens.

Role Purpose

The Golf Operations Attendant provides essential support to maintain the clubhouse, facilities, and grounds while delivering courteous service to all guests. The role ensures smooth course operations, proper maintenance of equipment and areas, and positive player experience throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities & Grounds Maintenance

• Assist with overall upkeep of the clubhouse, cart storage area, and parking lot.
• Maintain the cart staging area in a neat and orderly fashion, including the podium and bag drop area.
• Maintain the cart storage area and cart wash down area in a neat, clean, and orderly condition.
• Repair ball marks and collect any trash on the course.
• Replace hazard stakes or directional signage as needed.
• Check restrooms and water stations on a regular schedule.

Cart & Equipment Operations

• Prepare golf carts for play following Troon Golf standards.
• Remind players of cart rules for the day.
• Maintain proper spacing on the golf course to avoid delays.

Range Maintenance

• Present practice facility with practice balls, bag stands, tee caddies, and/or ball pyramids.
• Maintain ball inventory over the course of the day.

Rental Club Management

• Maintain accurate records of golfers renting clubs.
• Service customers renting golf clubs.
• Clean rental clubs upon return.
• Clean golfers' clubs upon completion of play.

Player Services

• Provide sincere and courteous service, including bag handling and club cleaning, to all guests.
• Assist players by changing their golf spikes if needed.
• Assist in educating players regarding course policy, current cart policy, speed of play, and related information.

Starting & Course Management

• Start players on the first tee, explaining the rules of play for the day.
• Maintain an accurate starting sheet so the whereabouts of players are known.
• Cue groups to move to the first tee and ensure not more than one group is on the tee at one time.
• Tour the golf course assisting players when needed to maintain the posted pace of play for the day.
• Complete the golfer tracking report on a daily basis.
• Monitor the course and ensure customer satisfaction. Assist golfers when needed.

Communication & Coordination

• Communicate with the Golf Shop and Starter on a regular basis.
• Attend staff meetings.

Safety & Compliance

• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous Golf Operations experience is an asset.
