Role Purpose

Lead the technical strategy and governance of front-end engineering across all countries within the squad's scope. Own the technical aspects of Digital Product Journeys in partnership with Product Owners and Group Product Owners, while mentoring engineers and maintaining coding excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Governance

• Maintain a helicopter view of technical priorities and determine them based on context.
• Govern engineers across all countries working within the scope of squad deliverables.
• Determine the best use of front-end engineering languages and techniques depending on the situation.

Technical Leadership & Mentoring

• Serve as the go-to person for the team when encountering technical challenges.
• Challenge and improve own coding continuously and that of junior and senior engineers.
• Set rules for coding and enhance them over time.
• Write tutorials and provide training to the squad.

Knowledge Management

• Create and maintain necessary technical knowledge base within the squad.

Skills & Competencies

• Mastery of several front-end engineering languages and techniques as a primary skill.
