Role Purpose

Develop ESRI ArcGIS Server applications and Desktop solutions. Design, implement, and support geospatial solutions across Desktop and Web development environments based on ArcGIS technology.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Development

• Design solutions leveraging ArcGIS Desktop and Server technologies.
• Develop ESRI ArcGIS Server applications and Desktop environments.
• Develop Map Services including GeoEvent Processor and Globe Services, Schematics Services and Stream Services, Cache Services, and Custom ESRI Services.
• Build Web development solutions based on ArcGIS platforms.

Implementation and Support

• Implement geospatial solutions in Desktop and Web development environments.
• Provide support for deployed ArcGIS applications and services.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience in ESRI ArcGIS Development.
• Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Computer Science/IT, or a related field.
• ESRI Technical Certifications – Developer/Enterprise (preferred).

Skills & Competencies

GIS and Spatial Tools

• ESRI ArcGIS Server 10x.
• ESRI ArcGIS Desktop 10x and ArcObjects.
• ESRI 3D Analyst.
• ESRI Spatial Analyst.
• ESRI Geoprocessing Analyst.
• ESRI Data Interoperability Extension.
• ESRI City Engine.
• ESRI ArcSDE/Oracle 11g/12c geodatabases.
• Knowledge of ArcGIS Server Advanced Enterprise architecture.
• Knowledge of geospatial and mapping concepts such as spatial analysis and map projections.

Programming and Web Technologies

• AJAX, JavaScript, VB Script, or Python.
• Microsoft Visual Studio 2010/2012/2015.
• Microsoft .NET C# (CAML, XML, ASP, VB.NET, etc.).
• .NET Web Services (UDDI, SOAP, REST, WCF, etc.).

Preferred Technical Skills

• ArcGIS WebADF, Silverlight, and FLEX development experience.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to other technical peers, non-technical project managers, and customers.

Preferred Methodologies

• Experience in SDLC like Agile Methodology.
• Experience in User Experience (UX) and Testing.

Additional Information

• Joining timeframe: 4 weeks maximum (6 weeks).
• Selected candidate will join VAM Systems – Bahrain and be deputed to one of the leading Government Organizations in Bahrain.
