Role Overview

General Practitioner with experience in Emergency at NMC Healthcare.

Role Purpose

Deliver swift, evidence-based clinical decisions and comprehensive patient care in an emergency setting, ensuring timely specialist referral, accurate diagnosis, and positive patient experience through professional communication and adherence to clinical guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Decision-Making

• Make swift and effective decisions based on presenting symptoms, current medical history, and previous medical history.
• Refer patients to specialists and consultants in hospital departments as needed.

Patient Communication & Experience

• Identify and understand the needs and expectations of clients in a professional manner.
• Share client needs and expectations with relevant team members.
• Keep clients up to date with relevant and accurate information.
• Involve clients in decisions that affect them.
• Focus on consistently delivering a positive client experience.
• Respond to client complaints in a timely and effective manner.
• Provide feedback on progress to clients.

Knowledge & Professional Development

• Continuously build and share knowledge to deliver expert service within own scope of work.
• Draw on expertise of others as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 2–3 years' experience in the relevant specialised department in a private hospital setting.
• Work experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator.
• Basic medical degree recognised by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
• Diploma or training in a speciality recognised by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.

Skills & Competencies

• Active and valid life support certification (e.g. BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).
