Full Stack Engineer (Lead)

Role Overview

Full Stack Engineer (Lead) at BlackStone eIT. This is a leadership position responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable web applications while mentoring junior team members.

Role Purpose

Lead the design, development, and deployment of full stack web applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions, mentor junior developers, and drive technical excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Mentoring

• Lead full stack software development initiatives and projects.
• Mentor and guide junior team members in technical skills and best practices.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align on project delivery.

Technical Development & Architecture

• Oversee full stack software development across frontend and backend.
• Ensure best practices in code quality and architecture.
• Design and implement robust, scalable web applications.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and evaluate their applicability.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with stakeholders to deliver on project objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in full stack development.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in backend technologies such as .NET Core, C#, Node.js, or similar.
• Strong experience in frontend frameworks, including Angular, React, or Vue.js.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and database design (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience leading and mentoring development teams.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Skills & Competencies

Frontend Technologies

• React 18 with TypeScript, including hooks, context, component composition, and performance optimization.
• Data visualization using Recharts, D3.js, or Chart.js with judgment on tool selection.
• Tailwind CSS or equivalent for responsive layout and mobile-first design.
• Figma-to-code capability to implement polished designs without designer involvement.
• Mobile responsiveness using CSS Grid and Flexbox with cross-device viewport testing.
• Frontend testing with Vitest and React Testing Library.

Backend & Integration

• REST API integration using fetch or axios with error handling, loading states, and optimistic updates.
• WebSocket or Server-Sent Events (SSE) for real-time data feeds.
• Azure AD authentication in single-page applications using MSAL.js.

State Management & DevOps

• State management using React Query or Zustand.
• GitHub Actions for frontend CI/CD pipeline configuration and maintenance.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Passion for continuous learning and technology innovation.

Additional Information

• Experience building role-based views for different user tiers (executive read-only, operational read/write, admin full configuration).
• Experience implementing approval workflows with signature requests and audit displays.
• Experience designing data visualizations including pie charts, bar charts, line charts, sparklines, progress bars, ranked leaderboards, and posture indicators.
• Experience managing error states and graceful degradation when data is stale, partial, or unavailable.
• Mobile responsiveness experience with viewports as small as 390px.
