Full-Stack Engineer, Web at Ziina. The company has shipped a strong product foundation and is now expanding its engineering team to build engaging new features. This role is based in, or open to relocating to, the UAE.

Role Purpose

Own end-to-end feature implementations spanning frontend and backend, with primary focus on web applications. Take features from design through implementation, polish, shipping, and monitoring. Shape the engineering culture and practices as the team grows.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Feature Development

• Collaborate with product, design, operations, and engineering teams to determine which features and solutions deliver the most value for the business and best experience for users.
• Own, develop, and deliver end-to-end feature implementations spanning both frontend and backend, with primary ownership of web apps and working knowledge of backend services.
• Take features from design, to implementation, to polish, to shipping, to monitoring and measuring progress.

Design & User Experience

• Participate actively in design discussions and collaborate with the product team to ensure web interfaces are user-friendly, intuitive, performant, and accessible.
• Integrate web interfaces effectively with backend services and GraphQL APIs.

Code Quality & Culture

• Review code and continuously level up by collaborating with other engineers on the team.
• Shape engineering culture by introducing best practices, tools, and methods of knowledge-sharing for building best-in-class products.

Qualifications & Experience

• 4+ years of full-stack development experience, with deeper expertise on the web/frontend side.
• Demonstrate high integrity and a team-first mindset.

Skills & Competencies

Frontend & Web

• Demonstrate deep proficiency with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Possess a strong eye for UI/UX craft including interaction design, performance (Core Web Vitals), accessibility, and cross-browser/device consistency.
• Have experience consuming and shaping GraphQL APIs, ideally with a Federation setup, from the client side.
• Maintain a solid grasp of version control tools, preferably Git.

Backend & Infrastructure

• Demonstrate comfort working in Node.js/Nest.js on the backend when a feature calls for it.
• Have experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, and comfort reading/writing backend logic when a feature requires it.
• Maintain strong understanding of RESTful/GraphQL APIs, web servers, application architecture, and deployment strategies.
