Role Overview
Full-Stack AI/ML Application Engineer at Sucafina.
Role Purpose
Own the engineering of reliable, scalable full-stack AI features—from model integration and deployment to APIs, data pipelines, performance and security optimization, and automated testing—delivering measurable improvements in accuracy, latency, and system robustness.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development
- Develop full-stack applications integrating AI and ML capabilities.
- Build backend services using Python.
- Build frontend and services using TypeScript and JavaScript.
API and Integration
- Design and build REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Integrate machine learning models using PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Integrate LLM capabilities and perform prompt engineering.
- Own scalable APIs.
Deployment and Infrastructure
- Deploy models using FastAPI and Docker.
- Engineer cloud platform solutions on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Data and Pipelines
- Design databases using PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Own data pipeline development and maintenance.
Quality and Optimization
- Establish CI/CD processes and automated testing.
- Optimize system performance.
- Harden security across applications.
- Maintain version control with Git.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proficiency in Python.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience building REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Hands-on experience integrating ML models using PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
- Experience with LLM integration and prompt engineering.
- Experience deploying models using tools such as FastAPI and Docker.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB.
- Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong CI/CD fundamentals and test automation skills.
- Solid version control skills with Git.
