Role Overview

American International University Kuwait seeks a Full Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor of Professional Ethics.

Role Purpose

To teach, mentor, and advance the field of professional ethics through research, instruction, and institutional service within a higher education environment.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Instruction

• Teach professional ethics courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
• Develop and update curriculum to ensure relevance and rigor.
• Provide mentorship and academic guidance to students.

Research and Scholarship

• Conduct original research in professional ethics.
• Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and academic forums.

Service and Governance

• Participate in departmental meetings and institutional committees.
• Contribute to university accreditation and academic planning initiatives.
• Serve on student thesis and dissertation committees where applicable.

Community Engagement

• Engage with the local and international professional ethics community.
• Contribute to public discourse on ethics in professional practice.

Qualifications & Experience

• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent research doctorate in ethics, philosophy, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level.
• Record of peer-reviewed research publications.

• Expertise in professional ethics and ethical reasoning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across diverse academic and cultural contexts.
