Full Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor of Biology & Biotechnology

Role Overview

American International University Kuwait is seeking a Full Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor of Biology & Biotechnology. The position is based in Kuwait.

Role Purpose

The role exists to deliver advanced instruction in biology and biotechnology at the university level, mentor students, conduct or supervise research, and contribute to the intellectual life of the institution through teaching, scholarship, and service.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in biology and biotechnology as assigned.
• Develop course curricula and instructional materials.
• Advise and mentor students in their academic and research pursuits.

Research & Scholarship

• Conduct or supervise research in biology and biotechnology.
• Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and other scholarly outlets.
• Contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field.

Service & Governance

• Participate in departmental, college, and university committees.
• Contribute to the institutional mission and strategic initiatives.
• Engage in professional development and academic community service.

Qualifications & Experience

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D., D.V.M., or equivalent) in biology, biotechnology, or a closely related field.
• Teaching experience at the higher education level.
• Research experience and a record of scholarly achievement.
• Rank-appropriate qualifications aligned with Full, Associate, or Assistant Professor status.
