Role Overview

Fuels Superintendent/POL Distribution Manager 2F0X1 at Amentum. This position is based at an overseas location.

Role Purpose

Manage all aspects of the site's Fuels program, including supervision of personnel involved in periodic maintenance, reconstitution, preservation, storage and deployment of all USAF Fuels Handling Equipment (FHE) and vehicle assets. Ensure compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), applicable USAF mandatory requirements, and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Workforce Management

• Provide leadership and supervision to all Fuels employees.
• Assign Fuels work priorities.
• Ensure employee performance evaluations are conducted as required within the suspense timeframes.
• Ensure Fuels training is adequate for task requirements and update training records as required.
• Supervise personnel involved in periodic maintenance, reconstitution, preservation, storage and deployment of all USAF Fuels Handling Equipment (FHE) and vehicle assets.

Operations and Maintenance

• Review and implement Fuels reconstitution goals and ensure scheduled inspections are performed as required.
• Coordinate Fuels support requirements with management and other functional areas.
• Ensure the review and verification of all technical inspections and functional checks are in compliance with all applicable technical data and work instructions prior to shipping Fuels assets.
• Account for all bulk fuel utilized for site generator and vehicle operations.
• Review, validate and approve all monthly USG submitted fuels receipts.
• Works with the Fuels Functional Manager in developing plans and implementing procedures to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Compliance and Reporting

• Ensure compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and applicable USAF requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).
• Compile information and submit reports on Fuels asset status, inspections, inventory, reconstitution and storage.
• Identify asset deficiencies and submit Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) as required.
• Participate in Quality Corrective Action Working Groups (CAWG) to develop a Corrective/Preventive Action for both negative internal and external audits and update QMS accordingly.
• Submit Periodic Maintenance Inspection, Reconstitution and man-hour data as required.

Administration

• Review all parts and material requirements for accuracy and track to ensure they are received in a timely manner.
• Account for the accuracy of timesheets and ensure overtime is warranted prior to approval.

Additional Duties

• Perform other duties, tasks and TDY travel as directed by management.
• Work in normal office and maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.

Qualifications & Experience

• Five years (5) USAF or US Service equivalent supervisory experience is required.
• Familiar with USAF 2F0X1 2F071 or US Service equivalent Fuels operations.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license.
• Valid U.S. passport valid for at least 18 months.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• US Citizenship is required to obtain Secret Clearance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.
• Read, write and speak English.
• Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting and pushing/pulling minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to repeatedly work overhead, kneel, crawl, push, pull and climb equipment as required by task.
• Ability to frequently lift 50 to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work under deadlines and constant mental alertness.
• Constant attention to detail in high traffic areas or working in tight, close spaces.
• Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supervising a diverse international workforce.
• Ten years USAF or US Service equivalent supervisory experience in 2F071 2W151.
• NCOIC Fuels Distribution experience.
• Fuels Operations experience.
• Fuels Fixed Facilities experience.
• Refueling Maintenance experience.
• Completed FORCE Course (J3AZR2F051 05AB) or 5 years' experience.
• Fuels Apprentice Course (J3ABR2F031 00AB) or US Service equivalent.
• Fuels Operational Readiness Capability Equipment (FORCE) certification.
• FORCE Course (J3AZR2F051 05AB) Certificate or experience. If certificate not already obtained, will attend FORCE Course within 12 months of employment.
• National Petroleum Management Association Certified Petroleum Specialist (CPS) or equivalent certification in place of fuels apprentice training and requirements.

Work Environment

• May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
• Exposed to various weather conditions including hot, rain, and snow.
• Regularly exposed to hazards such as noise, fumes, moving equipment, liquids and lubricants.
