Role Overview
Forward Deployed Software Engineer at Northslope Technologies. The role is based at hybrid hubs in London or New York, with regular onsite work at customer locations.

Role Purpose
Help customers solve their most valuable problems by conceiving, architecting, building, and maintaining applications that drive measurable business impact. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand critical objectives, build operationalized workflows on enterprise data, and enable end users to drive change within their organizations at uncommon speed.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Partnership & Outcomes
- Own customer success as your primary driver, solving hard problems that go beyond original scope to deliver genuine value.
- Understand customers' most critical business objectives and translate them into technical solutions.
- Iterate quickly and help organizations transform operations at speed by building from scratch.
- Reshape how entire organizations work by putting powerful tools in the hands of executives and operators.
Development & Architecture
- Build end-to-end applications and solutions that actually work.
- Develop applications that use large structured and unstructured datasets in production environments.
- Transform customer data into measurable value through software.
- Deliver production ML and LLM-based solutions where applicable.
- Build production frontend applications in React where needed.
Collaboration & Embedding
- Embed with customers and join their teams as an extension of their organization.
- Collaborate with internal and external teammates across varying levels of technical proficiency.
- Combine technical and people skills to succeed in diverse team environments.
Independence & Ownership
- Own outcomes autonomously with full accountability for your work.
- Take the driver's seat on projects and maintain ownership throughout delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrated track record delivering real-world outcomes with code as a software engineer, data scientist, or deeply technical analytics lead.
- Proven ability to build applications using large structured and unstructured datasets in production environments.
- Experience helping organizations improve performance through software you have written or analytical products you have built.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science (preferred but not required).
- Experience with Palantir Foundry and/or AIP (preferred).
- Experience delivering production ML and/or LLM-based solutions (preferred).
- Experience with Spark and distributed compute (preferred).
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Python and/or Typescript.
- Strong analytical abilities and complex problem-solving aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and own outcomes autonomously.
- Strong collaboration skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience delivering production frontend applications in React (preferred).
Additional Information
- Contract type: Full-time position with competitive base salary plus equity in the form of stock options.

- Travel required as-needed for client implementation work, typically 10-33% of the time per project.
- Occasional travel (less than 10% of time) for company off-sites connecting teams across New York and London hubs.
