Foreman - Plumbing

Role Overview

Foreman - Plumbing at Al Shirawi Group. This role leads plumbing installation and maintenance activities on construction and commercial projects.

Role Purpose

Supervise plumbing teams in the execution of water supply, drainage, stormwater, and sewage system installations while maintaining compliance with project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Leadership

• Supervise and lead plumbers, pipe fitters, and helpers in daily site activities.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor workforce productivity.
• Report manpower needs to the supervisor.

Execution & Installation

• Execute plumbing and drainage installation works as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure proper installation of water supply, drainage, stormwater, and sewage systems.
• Read and interpret plumbing layouts, shop drawings, and installation details.

Scheduling & Coordination

• Ensure all plumbing works are completed in accordance with project schedules.
• Coordinate with supervisors and site engineers regarding work progress and site requirements.
• Support snag rectification and project handover activities.

Material & Resource Management

• Monitor material usage and report shortages or wastage.
• Report site issues and material requirements to the supervisor.

Quality, Testing & Compliance

• Assist in testing, flushing, hydrostatic testing, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.

Site Management

• Maintain good housekeeping practices within the work area.

Qualifications & Experience

• ITI or Trade Certificate in Plumbing or related field.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in plumbing installation works.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Foreman.
• Experience in high-rise, commercial, residential, hospitality, or industrial projects.
• Ability to read and understand plumbing drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge of plumbing materials, fittings, and installation methods.
