Role Overview
Food Service Shift Lead at V2X, based at a global operations location supporting mission-critical infrastructure. This position reports to the Food Service Supervisor and may supervise food service workers, dining facility attendants, and stock clerks.

Role Purpose
Lead food service operations and monitor country national employees in accordance with the performance work statement. Oversee all aspects of food preparation, service, storage, and facility maintenance while ensuring compliance with DoD, NAVSUP, and NAVMED standards. Maintain safe, sanitary, and professional conditions across all food service facilities and grounds.
Key Responsibilities
Food Service Operations
- Perform all tasks related to food services including cooking, baking, serving, and replenishing food.
- Prepare vegetables and fruits for the salad bar.
- Assist with storeroom operations including ordering subsistence, receiving, off-loading trucks, stocking, and relocating food.
- Handle off-loading of subsistence and supply items.
- Remove delivered items from pallets and store items per requirements.
- Bus tables in dining areas.
- Operate food service 24/7/365 in support of storeroom and food service supervisors.
Facility & Equipment Management
- Maintain a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, and presentable professional atmosphere free of dust, clutter, and trash in all working facilities, areas, and grounds.
- Clean facilities, equipment, and utensils.
- Perform operator maintenance and minor repair of food service equipment.
- Ensure proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property including government facilities, equipment, and tools.
- Maintain quality control standards.
Workforce & Compliance
- Escort and monitor country national employees and vendors in accordance with the performance work statement.
- Communicate and uphold company standards, leading by example and working as a team to provide professional food services.
- Comply with applicable NAVSUP, NAVMED, DoD, and other references, instructions, and directives listed in J-1300000-02.
- Execute company time reporting procedures with precision and complete timesheets accurately.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current Serve-Safe certification (within 3 years).
- Current valid CPR certification.
- Current, valid U.S. Passport and U.S. or Local Driver's License.
- Able to drive a standard transmission vehicle.
- Fluent ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Experience
- Minimum one (1) year of related work in food service with progressive supervisory experience.
Skills & Competencies
- Thorough understanding of quality customer food service and preparation of nutritional meals.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Service oriented mindset.
- Completion of Food Service Sanitation and Safety training requirements per Section 2-1.2.2.C, Chapter 1 of NAVMED P-5010.
