Role Overview
Food Runner at SIHAMCO, a hospitality company operating in Saudi Arabia and beyond.
Role Purpose
Deliver an exceptional dining experience by ensuring every dish reaches the right guest quickly and accurately, working closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to maintain service excellence and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Order Delivery & Accuracy
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables promptly and accurately.
- Verify each order before leaving the kitchen to ensure accuracy, presentation, and quality standards are met.
- Ensure food is delivered at the correct temperature and presented according to brand standards.
Guest Service & Communication
- Describe dishes to guests when required and answer basic menu questions confidently.
- Monitor guest needs during service and promptly communicate requests to the appropriate team member.
- Assist waitstaff with table service, including serving food, clearing plates, refilling water, and resetting tables when needed.
- Support the restaurant team during busy service periods to maintain an exceptional guest experience.
Team Coordination
- Communicate effectively with chefs, captains, waiters, and hostesses to ensure smooth service.
Operational Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, pass areas, and dining areas.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including polishing cutlery, stocking service stations, and preparing dining areas.
Service Standards
- Uphold standards of hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years experience as a Food Runner or Waiter in a luxury fine-dining restaurant or hotel setting.
- Experience in premium dining, luxury hospitality, or high-volume restaurants.
Skills & Competencies
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while carrying multiple plates safely.
- Positive attitude with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest service.
