Food Runner

Role Overview

Food Runner at Apparel Group.

Role Purpose

Deliver food from kitchen to table promptly while maintaining presentation standards, manage communication between kitchen and serving staff, and support the overall guest experience during service.

Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery

• Deliver food to the correct table while it is still hot and in an appealing manner.
• Carry multiple plates at once to maximize efficiency and minimize time between kitchen and table.
• Check orders before delivery to ensure they are complete and meet the restaurant's quality standards.
• Ensure that the presentation of food matches the restaurant's standards.

Kitchen & Server Liaison

• Act as a liaison between the kitchen and serving staff, conveying any special requests or dietary requirements.
• Inform servers of any issues or delays with orders.

Customer Service

• Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, answering any immediate questions or concerns.
• Greet customers whenever possible.
• Assist servers in responding to customer needs and requests.

Additional Support

• Deliver takeaway food to car pickup customers.
• Help with refills to aid Food Servers during peak restaurant times.
• Work with restaurant staff to create a positive dining experience for guests.
• Assist with outdoor events whenever given the responsibility to work on one.
