Role Overview
FLS Technician at Hilton. This role supports the Hotels team in maintaining fire and life safety systems across hotel properties.
Role Purpose
Ensure all fire and life safety equipment and systems operate effectively and reliably to create a safe and secure environment for guests and team members.
Key Responsibilities
Inspections & Monitoring
- Conduct regular inspections of fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, fire pumps, and other fire and life safety equipment.
- Regularly inspect designated areas of the hotel to identify potential fire and life safety hazards.
- Report any issues requiring attention.
Preventive Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Carry out scheduled testing, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of fire and life safety systems to ensure they remain operational and compliant.
- Promptly respond to reported fire and life safety system faults.
- Assist in resolving issues or escalating them when required.
Documentation & Compliance
- Accurately record inspections, tests, maintenance activities, and system faults in accordance with hotel procedures.
Emergency Preparedness
- Assist with emergency response procedures, fire drills, and testing of emergency systems.
- Ensure the hotel is prepared for potential incidents.
Team Support
- Assist the Engineering Team with fire and life safety-related maintenance tasks and departmental projects as required.
Skills & Competencies
- Fire and life safety systems knowledge.
- Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting ability.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Responsiveness to safety issues.
- Teamwork and collaboration with the Engineering Team.
