Role Overview

Floral Designer – Floral Operations at Wynn Al Marjan Island, located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE, set to open in 2027.

Company Overview

Wynn Al Marjan Island is an integrated resort located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in Ras Al Khaimah. The resort will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, a beach club, multiple swimming and wading pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.

Role Purpose

To create, maintain, and manage all floral arrangements and installations across the resort, including public areas, guest spaces, restaurants, and departmental requirements, while supporting banqueting and special events operations.

Key Responsibilities

Floral Design & Arrangement

• Work in the floral workshop handling all floral arrangements for public areas, in-house guest orders, and departmental orders.
• Assist the Supervisor in the preparation of large-scale floral arrangements.
• Provide help when required for banqueting work and special function flowers.

Maintenance & Operations

• Maintain fresh flowers, replacing as needed on a maintenance schedule.
• Add or change water on a regular basis if necessary.
• Keep the workshop clean and tidy at all times.
• Ensure all flowers are properly stored in the fridge.
• Set up and keep track of flower arrangements in all public areas, restaurants, executive offices, and any required areas within the hotel on a daily basis.

Governance & Compliance

• Consult the Supervisor - Floral for approval of any major changes.
• Follow health and safety standards and strive for constant improvement to avoid health and injury hazards.
• Clean and tidy the office and participate in the company recycling program, maintaining strict discipline to reduce, reuse, and recycle wherever possible.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

• Interact with department and company team members, management, and contractors professionally and positively.
• Encourage good relationships, promote team spirit, and ensure effective two-way and multicultural communications.
• Remain well-mannered and well-groomed as per department and company standards at all times.

Additional Duties

• Accept any other duties when assigned by the Floral Supervisor or Assistant Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Two years' experience in a five-star integrated hotel or resort.
• Experience in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
• Previous experience in commercial floral design is preferable.
• Previous experience in large events, big-scale weddings, and shows is preferred.
• Fluent in English.
• Familiar with Western, Asian, and Middle Eastern flower design.
