Role Overview
Flight Simulator Technician (FSTD) at CAE Middle East, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, supporting Riyadh Air's new training centre.

Role Purpose
Establish and maintain the technical operations supporting flight simulator systems and equipment in a new aviation training environment. The role provides hands-on learning in simulator maintenance, diagnostics, and operations while contributing to the build-out of a new training facility.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Technical Operations
- Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on flight simulators and associated simulator systems.
- Assist in diagnosing and correcting technical problems affecting flight simulators and associated simulator systems.
- Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks on designated simulators.
- Perform basic visual alignments.
- Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG).
- Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
- Perform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulators as required.
Systems & Documentation
- Utilize maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
- Learn and comply with CAE quality management system.
Logistics & Support
- Perform logistics duties, including parts received, repair, and testing/validation.
- Perform administrative tasks as required.
- Perform tasks to support the technical services group as required.
Customer & Safety
- Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.
- Comply with Health and Safety regulations in an aviation training environment.
Training & Development
- Complete all designated training activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Two-year technical degree or four years of experience in an electronic, avionic, or related technical environment.
- Minimum of one to three years of relevant experience.
- Ability to interpret system prints and schematics.
- Knowledge in analog and digital theory.
- Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repairs.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in operating test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, signal generator, logic analyzer, etc.).
- Computer literate (PC and/or computer mainframe/architecture).
- Some knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.
