Flexcube Developer for Bahrain

Role Overview

Flexcube Developer for VAM Systems in Bahrain. VAM Systems is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company with operations in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, USA, Australia, Singapore and India.

Role Purpose

Develop, integrate, and maintain Flexcube core banking systems and related applications. Design and deliver reports, dashboards, and software solutions that support banking operations and enable system interfacing with external platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Integration & Interfacing

• Integrate and interface external systems with Flexcube 12.x core banking system.
• Develop experience in Flexcube Web Services.
• Interface systems and online transactions.

Development & Design

• Develop software applications with a mix of GUI and server-side development.
• Create innovative technical design and technical specifications.
• Perform front-end GUI design and development.

Reporting & Analytics

• Develop reports and dashboards through Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) tool.
• Create data-driven reports for MIS and customized reporting.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Perform unit testing and integrated system testing.
• Develop test cases and perform test scenarios.
• Support and participate in code reviews, by and for peers.

Maintenance & Support

• Maintain, debug and solve problems of existing applications.
• Manage database for Oracle and Microsoft SQL.
• Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing action plans and identifying areas for modification and improvement.

Documentation & Planning

• Create technical documentation that shares knowledge effectively.
• Conduct business requirement analysis for estimating development efforts and documentation.
• Manage projects planning and tasks and responsibilities.
• Apply standard security measures throughout processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years' experience as a developer with ASP.NET/VB.NET technologies.
• Experience in Banking and Finance sectors.
• Knowledge in ATM interfacing technologies.
• SWIFT Standards and Messaging experience.

Skills & Competencies

• Oracle web logic server including queuing mechanism for Flexcube notifications.
• Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).
• ASP.NET/VB.NET development.
• Front-end GUI design and development.
• Database management: Oracle and Microsoft SQL.
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• C#/VB.NET.
• Visual Studio.
• SQL Server.
• Solid understanding of full development life-cycle.
• Ability to adapt quickly to complex environments and learn new concepts and software rapidly.
• Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented and responsible team player.
