Role Overview
Fit Out Construction Engineer at AtkinsRéalis. The role is based on-site, representing the Consultant to oversee the execution of interior fit-out works across large-scale mixed-use developments and theme park projects.

Role Purpose
To represent the Consultant on-site and oversee the execution of interior fit-out works on large-scale mixed-use developments and theme park projects. The role involves monitoring contractor performance, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications, maintaining quality standards, and supporting project delivery from construction through handover.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Inspection
- Supervise and inspect fit-out construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Monitor installation of architectural finishes, joinery, ceilings, flooring, partitions, themed elements, FF&E, and specialty fit-out works.
- Conduct regular site inspections and prepare observation reports, NCRs, and snagging lists.
Quality Assurance & Control
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control procedures are implemented throughout construction.
- Verify work progress and provide recommendations for contractor payment applications.
- Witness testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
Contract & Documentation Management
- Review material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and RFIs submitted by contractors.
- Monitor contractor compliance with project schedules and approved construction methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, project specifications, health and safety requirements, and industry best practices.
Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and specialist vendors to resolve site issues.
- Attend progress meetings and prepare technical reports for the Resident Engineer and Project Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in construction and site supervision consultancy.
- Proven experience in mixed-use developments, entertainment destinations, theme parks, hospitality, retail, and large-scale commercial projects.
- Previous experience working with engineering consultancies on site supervision assignments.
- Strong knowledge of architectural finishes, fit-out systems, themed construction, and FF&E installations.
- Familiarity with international construction standards and Saudi Arabian regulations.
