Role Purpose
Perform rescue and firefighting activities to prioritize lifesaving during incidents while preventing and minimizing property damage resulting from emergencies such as fire and gas release.
Key Responsibilities
Rescue and Emergency Response
- Perform rescue activities and prioritize lifesaving during incidents while preventing and minimizing property damage from emergencies such as fire and gas release.
- Carry out firefighting activities in different situations including oil fires, toxic gas release, property fires, and vehicle extrication in line with firefighting practices.
First Aid and Medical Care
- Perform basic first aid to injured persons at the scene and initiate proper immediate care for different types of accidents and injuries.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of first aid treatments and participate in artificial respiration for injured persons suffering from injuries such as fire, smoke, and toxic gas exposure.
Firefighting Operations
- Perform firefighting duties such as preventing, controlling, and extinguishing fires.
- Apply firefighting techniques including ventilating burning buildings, salvage operations, and area inspection to assess hazards and support suppression activities.
Training and Equipment Management
- Participate in routine training and drills on fire prevention, rescue technique, and safe handling of firefighting equipment.
- Inspect the area after completion of emergency handling to ensure fulfillment, switch off equipment, and reload it for future activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Technical Diploma in a relevant field or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in a relevant field.
- Four years of experience in firefighting, rescue, or technical occupations.
