Role Overview
Financial Operations Analyst at HALA, a leading fintech player in the MENAP region. The position is based within HALA's operations across UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.

Role Purpose
The Financial Operations Analyst examines financial operations and recommends actions to increase profit margins, ensuring accuracy and compliance across tax, payment, and transaction processes while driving process improvements and supporting management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Tax and Compliance
- Maintain and correct customer tax data.
- Prepare, review, and verify customer data for tax invoice for compliance and correctness.
- Answer questions, resolve issues, and track down discrepancies regarding tax invoice and credit note.
Analysis and Reporting
- Prepare and perform analysis reports upon request.
- Assist with pre-forming analysis of data, including development of standard metrics and trend management.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly reporting schedules.
- Prepare, consolidate, review, and present cost analysis on a monthly basis to finance and operations leadership teams.
- Support management reporting related to operations performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Transaction and Reconciliation
- Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data of financial transactions.
- Verify payment and document process to ensure payment amount is accurate.
Process Improvement
- Work with various departments to understand main drivers of variance from budget.
- Identify, perform, and drive process improvement opportunities in the month-end close process.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent field of study; education requirements may be replaced by years of experience.
- Two to five years of experience in a similar role.

Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools.
- Proficient in computerized ledger system.
Languages
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
