Role Purpose

To act as the right hand to the Regional Finance Director and lead day-to-day finance operations across the region. This senior leadership role is responsible for financial control and finance systems (ERP), ensuring robust financial governance, delivering accurate and timely reporting, and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Leadership

• Provide leadership and direction to the Accounting, Working Capital, Cost of Sales, and ERP teams.
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Support the development, coaching, and succession planning of the finance team.
• Deputise for the Regional Finance Director when required.

Financial Control and Reporting

• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting across all entities.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Review management accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Group policies, accounting standards, and local statutory requirements.
• Maintain a strong internal control environment and governance framework.

Planning and Performance Management

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities.
• Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Challenge assumptions and drive improved forecasting accuracy.
• Support executive decision-making through high-quality financial analysis and reporting.

Project and Operational Controlling

• Oversee project financial performance and profitability reporting.
• Review project forecasts, margins, risks, and commercial exposures.
• Ensure consistency and quality in project financial reviews.
• Support operational management in delivering financial targets.

ERP and Finance Transformation

• Oversee finance systems governance and data quality.
• Lead finance process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Support ERP enhancements and digital transformation projects.
• Drive standardisation and efficiency across finance processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
• Significant post-qualification experience in a senior finance role.
• Proven experience leading accounting and finance teams within a multi-entity organisation.
• Strong technical accounting, financial control, and reporting expertise.
• Experience of project-based businesses is advantageous.
