Role Overview
Finance Systems Analyst at alfanar. This role is responsible for analyzing and executing system testing activities to ensure applications meet defined business, functional, technical, and quality requirements, while identifying defects, managing testing risks, and supporting continuous improvement of QA processes.
Role Purpose
Analyze software testing processes, workflows, and quality assurance procedures to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. Develop and maintain test documentation, execute testing activities, monitor process performance, and support implementation of testing improvements across new systems, enhancements, releases, and process changes.
Key Responsibilities
Process Analysis & Assessment
- Analyze software testing processes, workflows, and quality assurance procedures to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct test process assessments to evaluate testing effectiveness, coverage, compliance, and operational quality.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying issues affecting software quality, testing efficiency, and defect resolution.
- Assess testing dependencies, risks, controls, and potential impacts on software quality and delivery.
Process Documentation & Mapping
- Develop and maintain test documentation, including test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, test workflows, defect reports, and test execution records.
- Document current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) testing processes to support quality improvement initiatives.
- Define test inputs, expected outputs, validation criteria, roles, responsibilities, and performance measures.
- Ensure test documentation remains accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with business and system requirements.
Process Improvement & Optimization
- Identify opportunities to streamline testing activities, improve test coverage, reduce testing cycle times, and enhance overall testing efficiency.
- Apply software testing, quality assurance, continuous improvement, and testing best practices to optimize QA activities.
- Develop practical testing and quality improvement recommendations based on test results, defect analysis, and operational requirements.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented testing improvements and recommend further optimization actions.
Requirements Analysis & Solution Development
- Gather and analyze business, functional, and technical requirements from stakeholders.
- Translate business and system requirements into test scenarios, test cases, and quality validation requirements.
- Assess the impact of proposed system changes on existing functionality, test coverage, and related business processes.
- Support the development of test plans, testing proposals, and quality assurance activities.
Process Performance Monitoring
- Analyze test execution and defect data to identify trends, issues, quality risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare analytical test reports and recommendations to support project and release decision-making.
- Track testing activities and measure achieved results against defined quality and testing targets.
Change Implementation & Operational Support
- Support the implementation of testing activities for new systems, enhancements, releases, and process changes.
- Participate in test execution, regression testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and operational readiness activities.
- Provide testing guidance and quality-related support to business users, developers, and stakeholders.
- Monitor post-release quality and support defect verification, investigation, and corrective actions where required.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure testing activities comply with organizational QA policies, quality standards, testing procedures, and applicable requirements.
- Support QA governance activities, audits, quality reviews, and compliance assessments.
- Recommend standardization opportunities to improve consistency, test coverage, and quality controls across software testing activities.
- Maintain QA repositories and support knowledge management initiatives related to testing processes and documentation.
Delivery & Performance
- Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
- Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
- Provide periodic reports detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.
Problem-Solving & Quality
- Solve related problems and escalate complex operational issues.
- Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products, processes, or related activities.
Business Process Improvement
- Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures.
- Seek automation opportunities across testing and QA processes.
Compliance & Health, Safety, and Environment
- Comply with related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products and services.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor degree in Systems Analysis & Engineering or any relevant field.
- 4 to 6 years of work experience.
