Role Overview
Finance Executive at Noya British School, part of Aldar Education, located on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. This is a temporary contract position for six months. The role requires bilingual capability and is responsible for timely invoicing, receipting, reconciliation and follow-up with parents to collect school receivables and reconcile Accounts Receivables month-end closing activities.

Role Purpose
The Finance Executive delivers timely and accurate billing, collection, and receivables management for the school. The role ensures strong customer service, reduces bad debt, manages month-end closing activities, and maintains compliance with school policies and ADEK regulations while supporting the finance team's operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Billing & Collection
- Deliver timely and accurate billing for all types of receivables including tuition fees, exam fees, ECA, and trips.
- Liaise with parents and customers to collect school receivables and manage the collection process.
- Issue receipts daily with accurate information such as bank reference number and date.
- Ensure timely collection and reduction of bad debt; avoid bad debt accumulation.
- Respond to parents' requirements and inquiries relating to fees payment in a professional manner.
- Follow up on late payments and returned cheques.
- Manage reminder and warning letters in guidance of Credit Control team.
- Send finance fee follow-up letters in a timely manner in compliance with ADEK regulation.
- Prepare suspension list with appropriate comments and share with school Principal.
Accounts Receivable Management
- Reconcile Accounts Receivables between Education and ERP systems, identify gaps and resolve them in coordination with IT team.
- Perform sales validation and ensure student numbers are accurately reconciled with admission team.
- Ensure reasons are updated against all unidentified transactions and shared with respective school accountants for bank reconciliation statement preparation.
- Timely closing of AR module in line with closing calendar.
- Ensure month-end activities are performed in a timely manner.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Provide accurate and timely Accounts Receivable reports for decision making.
- Attend weekly AR review meetings with the team and provide insights for decision making.
Compliance & Governance
- Validate refund requests from school and initiate payments through AR module; handover documents to School Accountant for payment.
- Provide finance clearance for leavers and internal transfers after due diligence checks and validation.
- Ensure enrolment processes are followed in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Support internal and external audit queries, provide supporting documents and resolve all audit queries within the timeline.
Process Improvement
- Initiate process improvement wherever possible to achieve finance excellence.
- Support digitalization of billing and collection projects where required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience within a school setting is advantageous.

Additional Information
Contract type: Temporary contract, 6 months.
