Role Overview
Field Support Analyst at Emirates Flight Catering. This is a frontline technical support role providing troubleshooting and resolution for end-user hardware, software, and connectivity issues to minimize disruption to business operations.

Role Purpose
Provide frontline technical support and troubleshooting for end-user hardware, software, and connectivity issues, ensuring timely resolution of incidents to minimize disruption to business operations.
Key Responsibilities
System Installation & Configuration
- Install and configure desktop operating systems, MS Office applications and other software packages, ensuring end-user systems are fully operational and ready for business use.
- Configure user accounts, email, internet access, network devices and shared resources, ensuring staff have timely and secure access to required systems.
Infrastructure Management
- Install, configure and maintain computers, networks, file and print servers and related devices, including upgrades to disk drives, memory, and peripheral equipment, ensuring reliable performance of end-user infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and support the installation and configuration of Cisco switches, routers, firewalls and other network devices, and assist with the installation of new or upgraded hardware and software, ensuring network infrastructure remains secure and up to date.
Troubleshooting & Support
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, cabling and performance issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring consistent service availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the Time Keeping System, including software, hardware and connectivity faults, ensuring accurate and uninterrupted time recording for the business.
- Troubleshoot and support the maintenance of the PABX system, ensuring reliable business telephony services.
- Identify and resolve hardware problems proactively and reactively, implementing opportunities for improved hardware service delivery.
- Diagnose hardware faults and coordinate timely repair of company-owned equipment, minimizing asset downtime.
User Enablement
- Guide staff on the proper use of installed systems, maximizing efficient and effective use of business technology.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or equivalent qualification in Computer Science.
- Microsoft or Cisco certification (required).
- Exposure to PLCs (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining network infrastructure, desktops, printers, MS Office products, Windows operating systems, networking protocols, PABX and all other areas of field support in a Microsoft/Cisco environment.
