Role Overview
Field Specialist III – Completions with Weatherford UAE, based in the United Arab Emirates. The role is responsible for the preparation and execution of completion operations, ensuring the safe installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of downhole and surface equipment while meeting customer requirements, quality standards, and HSE expectations.
Role Purpose
Support complex completion projects, well integrity systems, and production optimization activities in both onshore and offshore environments while delivering exceptional service quality and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Execution
- Plan and execute completion projects from preparation through commissioning.
- Support pre-job planning, equipment readiness reviews, and post-job evaluations.
Field Operations and Supervision
- Supervise field installation, testing, and commissioning activities onshore and offshore.
- Monitor field operations to ensure safe, efficient, and successful execution of completion activities.
Coordination and Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate operations with customers, drilling and completion teams, and third-party service providers.
- Demonstrate strong communication, customer-facing, and project coordination skills.
Troubleshooting and Diagnostics
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root cause investigations on downhole and surface equipment.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare running tallies, tubing tallies, installation documentation, and operational records.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Prepare operational reports, end-of-well reports, lessons learned, and technical documentation.
Compliance and Standards
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, quality standards, customer specifications, and operational procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of industry HSE standards and operational best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Completion Operations, Well Integrity, Well Construction, or related Oil & Gas services.
- Experience with installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Permanent Downhole Gauges (PDHG), Surface Acquisition Units (SAU/DAU), Fiber Systems, Production Packers, Safety Valves (SCSSV), Chemical Injection Valves, Gas Lift Mandrels, Barrier Devices, Landing Nipples, and Wellhead and Completion Accessories.
- Experience working in both onshore and offshore environments.
- Strong understanding of completion systems, well integrity principles, and production operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, completion schematics, and operational procedures.
