Role Overview
Field Specialist - Coiled Tubing at Baker Hughes. This role operates within the Pressure Pumping Team, supporting oilfield services and well intervention operations.

Role Purpose
As a Field Specialist, you will operate and manage coiled tubing units and associated equipment during well intervention operations. You will execute jobs to the highest quality standards, work independently to meet production schedules, and develop your technical skills while supporting innovative oilfield services.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Equipment Management
- Operate and monitor coiled tubing units, injector heads, reels, and control systems.
- Monitor real-time job parameters including tubing depth, weight, pump rates, and well pressure.
- Perform pre-job inspections, function testing, and basic equipment troubleshooting.
Job Execution
- Lead rig-up, pressure testing, job execution, and rig-down activities.
- Record operational data and prepare accurate job reports for customers.
Compliance & Safety
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with Baker Hughes and customer HSE requirements.
- Maintain strong knowledge of HSE procedures and risk management.
Stakeholder Coordination & Leadership
- Coordinate with the customer, rig crew, and other service providers to ensure smooth operations.
- Mentor operators and junior personnel while maintaining high operational standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum high school diploma (Bachelor in Engineering preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a field specialist or field engineer in coiled tubing operations.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in oilfield services and nitrogen pumping.
- Strong knowledge of coiled tubing equipment, pressure control equipment (BOPs, stripper, lubricator), nitrogen pumping, and well intervention operations.
- Strong knowledge of HSE procedures and risk management.
