Role Overview
Field Specialist - Artificial Lift Systems (ALS) at Baker Hughes. This is a shift-based field role executing operations of artificial lift equipment in oilfield services.
Role Purpose
Execute the operations of ESP (Electrical Submersible Pump) equipment and surface equipment in the field while complying with all integrity, quality, safety standards, and client-specific regulations across all fields.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Equipment Operations
- Install and run ESP equipment, including inspecting, modifying and repairing pumps, motors, cables and downhole equipment at contractor's base.
- Make connections at surface and operate ESP equipment to the satisfaction of the Company.
- Install, operate and maintain Y-tool and VSD systems.
Pre-Commissioning & Testing
- Carry out all pre-commissioning checks and tests to ensure successful start-up and continuous operation of ESP equipment.
Maintenance & Repair
- Repair any breakdown and maintain ESP equipment.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide expertise for troubleshooting, safety precautions and related matters.
Team Collaboration
- Participate in all technical events, including supporting the Baker Hughes contract engineering team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Technical-related degree (Diploma or higher).
- At least 1 year of experience in Oil and Gas.
- Previous experience in artificial lift preferred.
- Industry experience and product line training required in ESP.
- Legal right to work in Kuwait.
