Role Overview
Field Service Engineer – Heavy Duty Gas Turbine at Baker Hughes. This role operates across 120 countries serving the energy value chain and industrial sector through rotating equipment, process flow, transmission technology, and lifecycle services.

Role Purpose
Coordinate and oversee work at field sites, providing quality service to customers. The role encompasses sales, job design, execution, and follow-up activities, with responsibility for planning jobs, instructing crews, and managing equipment deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Operations
- Perform minor and major maintenance of equipment following TPS Service Site Quality Check Lists and procedures.
- Execute troubleshooting support on equipment under maintenance and installation in the field.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, startup, and maintenance of Heavy-Duty Gas Turbines (Frame 5/2, Frame 3, Frame 6B, Frame 7FA) and their auxiliaries.
Safety & Compliance
- Execute all required responsibilities safely by following all TPS Service applicable processes and procedures.
Documentation & Stakeholder Management
- Provide records of all activities accomplished at the Customer Site to the TPS Supervisor.
- Promote and maintain relations with customers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or full-time diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry within maintenance or installation field activities.
- Knowledge of rotating equipment, installation, commissioning, startup, and maintenance of Heavy-Duty Gas Turbines (Frame 5/2, Frame 3, Frame 6B, Frame 7FA) and their auxiliaries.
- Specialization in Heavy Duty Gas Turbine products.
- Industry experience and TPS product line training, as required.
- Expertise in more than one TPS rotating equipment product.
