Field Service Engineer

Role Overview

Field Service Engineer at NOV. This role involves the repair, service, and commissioning of MDTotco products in the field.

Role Purpose

Ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of MDTotco equipment through hands-on repair, service, and commissioning work, while providing client training and adhering to NOV's Health, Safety, and Environment policies.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Repair

• Complete installations, upgrades, and repairs of MDTotco products.
• Clean, test, and repair parts and systems as assigned, maintaining a high standard of equipment readiness.

Operations & Maintenance

• Conduct daily operations, maintenance, and monitoring of MDTotco equipment for optimal performance.
• Read and interpret instrumentation drawings accurately, ensuring correct cable connections.

Client Support & Training

• Deliver training to clients on equipment operation and maintenance practices.
• Respond promptly to calls and requests, ensuring fast and efficient service without compromising safety.

Documentation & Reporting

• Provide daily activity reports and ensure accurate documentation.

Compliance & Professional Development

• Comply with all NOV Health, Safety, and Environment procedures and policies.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in field service engineering.

Teamwork & Flexibility

• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Strong background in instrumentation or a related field.
• Completed classes in basic electricity and electronics, with a focus on safety practices.

Skills & Competencies

• Basic networking skills and the ability to read electrical connection diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective client interaction.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Information
