Role Overview
Field Service Engineer, BD Diagnostics & BD Biosciences at BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), located in Jeddah.

Role Purpose
Provide technical support on assigned instruments and systems to customers and distributors across the Central and Northern regions, delivering high-quality service, ensuring customer satisfaction, and efficiently resolving reported incidents and service requests.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery
- Provide independent, on-site technical support in line with customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs), including installations, relocations, certifications (IQ/OQ), and repair activities.
- Deliver advanced remote support, diagnostics, and fixing for technical issues raised beyond the help desk.
- Conduct pre-installation site assessments and advise customers to ensure all requirements are met for the successful installation of BD devices and equipment.
Maintenance & Operations
- Plan, prioritize, and complete corrective and preventive maintenance activities, including upgrades, in compliance with regulatory requirements and defined procedures to ensure uninterrupted customer operations.
Partner & Distributor Management
- Support and lead distributors by building strong partnerships, mentoring, and leading distributor service teams to ensure service excellence.
Customer Communication
- Clearly explain service contract offerings to customers, including coverage, terms and conditions, benefits, and pricing.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure full compliance with quality, ISO, GMP, and safety standards, adhering to BD policies and customer SLAs to consistently deliver high-quality service.
Qualifications & Experience
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience servicing IVD laboratory diagnostics equipment, with specific experience supporting flow cytometry instruments highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven technical expertise in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of flow cytometry systems and related laboratory instrumentation.
