Role Overview
Field Maintenance Worker at Sika, a specialty chemicals company with a globally leading position in the development and production of systems and products for bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing, and protection in the building sector and industrial manufacturing.

Role Purpose
To perform preventive and corrective maintenance on admixture plants and support Powder & Resin plants while maintaining safety standards, accurate records, and continuous improvement practices across assigned areas.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environment
- Follow all workplace safety standards and report incidents or near misses.
- Adhere to WI/SOPs and ensure safe work through Permit to Work (PTW), Hot Work Permit (HWP), and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
- Maintain good housekeeping across all work areas.
Systems & Processes
- Follow maintenance procedures and maintain accurate records, checklists, and logs.
- Support spare parts management and ensure compliance documentation is updated.
Maintenance Operations
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for admixture plants and support Powder & Resin plants.
- Execute PM activities, attend breakdowns, and support RCA/CAPA actions.
- Inspect equipment, report issues, and ensure availability of critical spares.
- Support shift work and emergency maintenance when required.
Projects & Modifications
- Support installation, commissioning, and modification works.
- Ensure contractor safety compliance and proper permit processes.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in Kaizen and improvement initiatives.
- Maintain 5S standards across assigned areas.
Qualifications & Experience
- ITI or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation.
- 0–2 years of experience in maintenance or fresh graduate with relevant technical training.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or plant equipment.
- Understanding of safety practices such as PTW and LOTO is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Experience in electrical, instrumentation, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Basic mechanical and plumbing knowledge with troubleshooting capability.
- Basic troubleshooting skills and ability to handle routine maintenance tasks.
- Fluent in English and Hindi with good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work in a team environment.
