Role Overview
Field Control Engineer at Samsung E&A, based at construction sites and reporting to the Field Control Manager.

Role Purpose
Assist the Field Control Manager as deputy manager at construction sites, designing and providing recommendations for construction control management planning, scheduling, cost requirements, and forecasting. The role ensures effective cost and schedule management while supporting field control procedures and execution on assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
- Plan, organize, and supervise schedule resource loading and leveling.
- Forecast management performance and direct the making and evaluating of construction status reports.
- Maintain steady progress of total construction and strategy to reduce overall cost.
- Support field control manager to set up and execute field control procedures and work processes on assigned projects.
Cost Management
- Supervise project construction cost budgets.
- Coordinate and establish scoping requirements for overall cost estimates by discipline or specialty.
- Coordinate timely, systematic, and complete acquisition of scope definition and related data.
- Calculate final construction cost of the project.
- Prepare or review indirect cost estimates, developing basis for temporary facilities, miscellaneous construction services, construction tools and equipment, and start-up services.
- Delve into construction cost management and investment investigation factors.
Risk Management & Mitigation
- Review cost, schedule and contract activities.
- Define current and potential risk and figure out risk mitigation strategy.
- Identify and solve elements of construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.
Stakeholder & Subcontractor Management
- Conduct meetings with relevant departments and subcontractors.
- Review subcontractor project control requirements.
- Instruct construction personnel and track progress of construction operations.
Operational Control & Progress Tracking
- Track arrival and utilization of materials, supplies, tools, machinery, equipment, and vehicles.
- Follow all manpower allocations compared to monthly plans.
- Maintain construction records.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Construction experience in Gas, Petrochemical EPC Plant field.
- Cost and Schedule Management experience is mandatory.
- Field Control Coordinator experience (Cost, Schedule, Contract) from other companies preferred.
- EPC Contract experience preferred.
- Experience from various sites in the Middle East area preferred.

- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of international standards used in engineering.
