Role Purpose

As F&B Hostess, you will safeguard Six Senses' core pillars of sustainability, wellness and out of the ordinary experiences, ensuring full knowledge and active participation in all brand initiatives while delivering efficient and empathetic service across food and beverage operations.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service

• Greet all guests courteously and attentively.
• Answer outlet telephone courteously and efficiently as specified in department standards.
• Work with an empathetic attitude.
• Ascertain guest satisfaction and ensure all guest billing procedures are handled correctly, minimizing rebates during checkout.
• Bid guests farewell.
• Ensure the privacy of guests, partners and residential owners, and apply an extra level of protection to any sensitive personal data and use confidential information only to perform your job.

Food & Beverage Operations

• Take orders from any food and beverage outlet menus.
• Ensure prompt and efficient service required by standards.
• Ensure all mis-en-place for service is correctly prepared prior to delivery.
• Maintain good knowledge of all outlet menus (food and wine) and F&B day-to-day activities.
• Maintain good knowledge of all F&B outlets opening hours.
• Maintain knowledge of menu prices and suggest upselling when necessary.
• Recommend and promote items as directed by supervisor.

Standards & Compliance

• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene.
• Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation.
• Maintain and exceed performance benchmarks.
• Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.
• Report any maintenance faults following the required steps.
• Ensure all equipment of the department is kept clean and in good working condition.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 to 3 years restaurant experience in a full-service outlet or similar setting.
• Hospitality diploma or degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health and food handler card as required by local or state government agency.

Skills & Competencies

• Fluent in English.
• Fluent in Arabic.
• Additional languages are preferred.
